This is my latest shirt to come, it’s a follow-up to last week’s random collection and is also a Woot shirt. And, I still have two more shirts on the way! Yay!
But yeah, this is a pretty awesome shirt.
I’d apologize for the crappy photo of it, but you know the deal by now, I never bother to take good photos of my shirts. Oh well.

I realized earlier today that I had five t-shirts in transit to me. It’s been a slow t-shirt buying year overall, but this is helping to make up for it. The bunch that I received today were some random ones from shirt.woot.com. Interestingly, one of the two remaining shirts is also a random shirt. That one is from Threadless.
Anyway, today’s crop is a mixed bag. The best shirt is the Star Wars At-At one which I actually almost bought when it was up on Woot, but at the time, I had just purchased this very similar Star Wars shirt. The other two shirts are just okay. The Chucknorium shirt is slightly comical, but I’ve never been a big Chuck Norris joke fan…and at this point, it’s a bit old. Still, the design of the shirt is pretty cool so I’d consider it wearable. And lastly, the Apathy Coalition shirt is kind of more cheesy than anything else. Still, it could be a Sunday afternoon shirt. We’ll see.

I really haven’t been buying too many shirts this year so I felt like I had to take advantage of the buy one get one free deal over at TShirt Laundry. This was actually my first order from them and I was surprised at how insanely quickly I received the shirts. I placed the order on a Sunday and had them by Wednesday. Anyway, I find most of their shirts to be a little cheesy or simply funny only in theory so I wasn’t expecting to pick up four shirts, yet I almost bought a fifth one too. It was an Abe Froman shirt, but under “Sausage King of Chicago” it also said “you can’t beat his meat!” At 27, I think I’ve passed the point in my life where I should be wearing a shirt like that.
The Ski Hoth shirt is actually the shirt that got me over to their site. Even though I already have three or four other Star Wars shirts, it just seemed to good not to get. The Michael Scott Paper Company shirt was almost strictly because of the amount of Dunder Mifflin shirts I see regularly. The third shirt is indeed an obvious Simpsons joke. I do have a few Simpsons shirts already, but I don’t really wear any of them except for one so I thought the Food Chain shirt would be a nice addition to my collection. It’s not at all an obscure reference, but I like that it doesn’t just scream “hey, I’m a nerdy dude wearing a Simpsons shirt” to your average person. And finally, the cheese shirt needs no reason.

This is the first new t-shirt that I’ve gotten in quite some time. I really have slowed down on the shirt buying. Part of it has been that I just don’t have anywhere to keep them all, it’s a mess, I need to get some better storage/organization going for my shirt collection. The other thing is that we’ve been trying to save as much money as possible for the wedding so we’ve been cutting back on unnecessary purchases. $10-15 here and there doesn’t sound like a lot, but it can add up.
Anyway, I saw this shirt and had to have it, I don’t really like dark blue shirts much, but I like the graphic. As a big Star Wars nerd, I love the Wizard Of Oz take on it. Being that it’s not a straight up Star Wars shirt, I think I can get away with wearing it without entirely looking like a loser who lives in his mother’s basement and has never seen a real boob before.
This shirt came from RIPT Apparel which I like a lot, but takes fooooorever to send orders. It took over three weeks to receive this shirt. I believe it’s because they don’t print the shirts until after they’ve been ordered which makes sense and I can live with that, but I don’t like it. The other thing about RIPT is that they don’t use American Apparel shirts and what they do use tends to run a bit big. This is a size small, but it’s roughly the same size as most of my medium sized shirts which generally are a little big on me.

I think this is actually my first Star Wars t-shirt ever. I kind of had to get it, I couldn’t resist, but then oddly a couple days later Woot had an AT-AT t-shirt as well. The design was arguably better. If it weren’t for this RIPT one, I would have gotten it.

This shirt came from RIPT. I have so many zombie shirts already, but I really liked this one so I had to go for it.

I can’t believe it’s the end of March and I just made my first t-shirt purchase this year. It’s taken some serious self control, but between saving for a wedding and being pretty much of out space for storing shirts, I figured I need to take it easy for a bit.
All three of these came from Threadless‘s $10 sale this month.

Unfortunately for everyone, there was no edition of The Playlist this week. I was suffering from what I’m willing to say was the worst allergy day of my life and couldn’t make it to the station. I could barely open my eyes. Though, it at least prompted me to finally make a doctor’s appointment so that I can get the ball rolling on determining whether or not the suffering I’ve been going through lately is because of a newly developed cat allergy or something else.
Anyway, I finally made my first t-shirt purchase of the year last night. I can’t remember that last time I went this long, but I’ve been trying to save money for the wedding and such. Plus, I really have no where to store these damn things anymore. However, Threadless is running a $10 sale that’s good an all shirts. It’s a pretty awesome sale, actually. I had to take advantage. I’ll post pictures of the shirts when I get them.
I’ve been listening to the Against Me! album a bit more and it’s definitely growing on me. There are a lot of parts that I like a lot, but I’m still not digging about half of it. There are few bands that could put out an album that I’d put this kind of effort into liking, but I really want to like this.
Lastly, Saturday is free Rita’s day and I’m planning on doing the tour again this year. But I plan on correcting the mistakes that were made last year. We’ll spread it out of a larger portion of the day, eat a real meal in the middle, and get sugar-free flavors at a few of the stops to help ease the sugar overload. It’s going to be intense though. We’ve been swapping proposed maps back and forth and it looks like we’re shooting to double the amount of locations we hit last year. I’m sure I’ll post about it all afterwards, but I’m a little scared!
PS: Yes, I called it “water ice.”

I got a couple of new shirts for Christmas this year. The first is a neat little take on the Simpsons that my girlfriend got me from Threadless and the second, a gift from my girlfriend’s parents, is a flashback to one of my favorite shows of my childhood, Salute Your Shorts, featuring Blake Sennett of Rilo Kiley.

Look at this shirt from woot. It’s got everything! There’s really nothing left to ask for. I think it may slightly edge out Threadless’s This Is How The World Will End shirt. Maybe.
