Photo 365 – Week 22

June 18, 2012 - 3:43 pm

I thought my slacking was bad before, but I’m weeks behind now! I’m catching up on everything today though.

Week 22 was a solid week. I definitely got some neat photos, a couple of which are the kind that I wouldn’t have even bothered with if it wasn’t for this project.

Photo 365 – Week 8

February 26, 2012 - 8:50 pm

I can’t believe I’m already eight weeks into this project. Unfortunately, I feel like in the last couple of weeks I’ve sort of lost focus a little. One of my goals is to learn to see things naturally, but in the last couple of weeks I have’t been doing that at all. Instead, I’ve been forcing myself to find things later in the night before going to bed. On one hand, I’ve ended up with some photos of things I would have never otherwise looked twice at, but on the other hand, it feels a bit forced.

Mid-October photos

October 19, 2010 - 7:12 pm

I took a bunch of photos over this past weekend while we were dog-sitting. We were actually supposed to be in Rochester, but the dog-sitter was MIA so we got left behind to take care of the dog instead.

I snapped about 50 rapid-fire pictures of the lady with my iPhone while we were at Vicky’s Diner in Westfield. We saw on Yelp that they have pumpkin pancakes so we had to go check them out. I also took a few photos of a blowup ghost decoration on a random front lawn. We drove by and my camera wasn’t in the car so I made my fiancée take me back over there after getting my camera. And lastly, I tried to capture some of the Fall colors on the trees. I only took about ten shots total in that bunch.

NYC Underwear Run 2010

July 18, 2010 - 5:21 pm

This past Friday, I ran through Central Park in NYC in just my undies and it was kind of awesome. It was part of the annual Jamaica underwear run to kick off NYC Triathlon weekend. The event was a lot of fun and attracted over 500 people, many of which were still very well covered. The average person wore something in the realm of boxers, a speedo, sports bra, boy short underwear, or even actual running shorts (only allowed for the women). The more adventurous wore panties, regular bras, or briefs. Some had full on costumes. I chose to wear a pair of black briefs and didn’t feel too underdressed.

The run itself was just a fun 1.7 mile almost loop through the middle of Central Park. There was a clock, but no time keeping or bibs, this was just for fun. My fiancée and I made the mistake of keeping our bags with us though which made running a bit of a pain in the ass. Since we had come in from Jersey, we had our phones, wallets, and such on us and didn’t want to check that stuff. I also had my camera on me and wanted to keep it on me to take pictures. It’s funny, I only did a light jog and was just in my undies, but I was still dripping sweat. It was quite hot out.

The run was a lot of fun though and I’ll definitely do it again next year…hopefully, next summer will be nothing like this one though.

I got a few good pictures, but I also felt a little weird walking up to strangers and taking their pictures. I know it’s perfectly legal, but I don’t want to weird people out too much. I’m sure this is something that I’ll get over the more I do it though.

Some mid-June photography

June 13, 2010 - 7:51 pm

The subject is a bit of a lie, these pictures were taken over the course of the last two weeks. There’s a mix of stuff here, but I’m just going to post them all together since I haven’t posted much recently.

Easter weekend photography

April 4, 2010 - 10:26 pm

I took a ton of pictures this weekend. I took advantage of all the nice weather and went for a little photo walk yesterday around my town and then took plenty of pictures of both my family and my fiancée’s family while we visited each of them. I’m not really that into flowers (or Easter actually, but that’s not important), but during my walk yesterday, that seemed to be the majority of what I took photos of. After that, I took a lot of shots of our families’ dogs, none of my cat though, I promise.
